If you live in Lucas, you likely chose this community for its large lots and the beautifully maintained, spacious landscapes that define the area. However, these beautiful properties come with their own challenges. Between the heavy North Texas clay and the extreme drought cycles, your trees and shrubs are in a constant battle for survival. Without a professional plan, even established native trees can begin to decline slowly.
At CitiTurf, we’ve spent over 20 years (est. 2005) helping homeowners in Collin County navigate the “Silent Stressors” that threaten their greenery. We don’t just treat symptoms like yellowing leaves; we address the environmental logic of our region to promote long-term health from the roots up.
Living in Lucas often means managing larger, more mature properties. Our specialized Lucas tree service identifies ‘silent’ threats like soil compaction, nutrient deficiencies, and localized pests before they cause irreversible damage to your prized oaks and elms.
We treat your landscape as a living investment. Our technicians follow a precise, logic-based process to ensure no pest or disease gains a foothold on your property:
When you commit to our year-round treatment schedule, the science of plant health yields visible dividends:
“I’ve patrolled every acre from Winningkoff Road to the shores of Lake Lavon, and I know a stressed shrub when I see one! When the Lucas sun starts cooking that heavy clay, your plants feel like they’re living in a brick oven. Don’t wait for the leaves to drop; give my friends at CitiTurf a whistle at 972-516-0001 so we can get your landscape back to championship levels!” — Chester, Chief Happiness Officer
Your trees and shrubs also need to receive proper care and attention to remain beautiful and healthy. When they are well taken care of, your plants will flourish and can make your property look more beautiful. We offer a tree and shrub fertilization program, which involves a deep root treatment to deliver much-needed nutrients to the roots of your plants so they can work their magic and strengthen your trees and shrubs.
We like to go above and beyond for our clients and their beloved plants. Our crew offers a tree and shrub diagnosis and consulting service to keep the health of your plants in check. We can pinpoint any issue with your plants and consult with you on the next steps to nurse your trees and shrubs back to health. Our team offers treatments against insects like bagworms, webworms, emerald ash borers, spider mites, and crepe myrtle bark scales that can affect the health of your plants.
Iron chlorosis is a common issue for most trees and shrubs in Lucas, TX because of the alkaline soils in the area. To ensure your plants don’t develop discoloration from iron chlorosis, we’ll apply iron treatments through a trunk injection or soil probe. The treatments will replenish your plants’ iron supply so they can grow lush and green!
